This year, I attended AEW Dynasty in Vancouver, BC, Canada, with my father. We got the AEW VIP Package tickets, which include a brief Q&A with some great Canadian talent, a picture holding a title belt near the ring, and early access to the merchandise table. We had a lot of fun, but for what you get, I won’t do VIP next time, now that I’ve got the pictures I wanted.
We had seats very close to the ringside, just off the corner of where the announcers’ desks are. I wouldn’t recommend the ring side area unless you’re in the first row, as people insist on standing every 30 seconds and blocking the view of anyone behind them. Also, even with the first row, you’re going to have security, cameras, and other people. Next time though, I think I’ll go up in the stands a little ways and get a better view now that I’ve been able to experience being up close.
As for the card it had some outstanding matches and continues to outclass WWE in every respect. I’m not a wrestling tribalist and believe you should be able to enjoy whatever you like, but for me, I enjoy AEW and not WWE. It’s a good time to be a wrestling fan as there are so many options to find what you like.
