My tradition of going to Disney at Halloween continued this year with an extra special trip in that I went with my Mother. We both like to vacation the same way and it had been a very, very long time since I went anywhere with her like this. Despite fears of the fires in California the trip turned out to be exactly what I wanted it to be, magical.

However, I do have concerns when it pertains to Disneyland (I tend to just lump California Adventure into “More Disneyland”) given the ever growing crowds. I made sure this year to avoid any special days, be far enough away from Halloween itself and it was still much busier than in 2015. I mean a lot busier.

What exactly can Disneyland do about this though? Star Wars Land is coming to Disneyland late 2018 possibly and that is going to be a complete mad house. Think of how busy Cars Land still is and then think of Star Wars having a larger appeal. The park was never designed for this many people and given how boxed in they are I’m not sure what they can even possibly do about it.

Of note this year was it was the first time ever that Halloween theming had been extended over to California Adventure. I was very, very impressed with the level of care and detail, especially in Cars Land.
